Terms of Use

Room Connect lets users create rooms for events, meetings, venues or locations. Other users can scan a QR code, choose which details they want to share, and appear in a shared list for that room.

Users can also create a personal QR code for direct connections.

The app may allow users to share details such as: name, photo, phone number, email address, LinkedIn profile, website, Instagram profile, other social media or URL links, short summary, background, role, company or interests, and notes about where they met another person.

You may need to create an account to use some features.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must not allow another person to use your account.

You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

When you join a room or share your personal QR code, you choose which details you want to make visible.

You must actively confirm that you understand your selected details will be visible to other people in that room or connection flow.

Do not share information that you do not want others to see.

You can edit your profile, update what you share, remove yourself from a room, or delete your account.

You may only use another user’s details for genuine networking, follow-up or connection purposes.

• Do not spam other users
• Do not sell or scrape contact details
• Do not add people to marketing lists without permission
• Do not share another user’s details outside the app without their permission
• Do not use the app to harass, threaten, impersonate or mislead anyone

A room may represent an event, meeting, venue, workspace, conference, party or other location.

If you create a room, you are responsible for naming it accurately and using it appropriately.

We may remove rooms or content if we believe they are unlawful, misleading, abusive, unsafe or in breach of these Terms.

The app may allow users to add a LinkedIn URL or other social profile links.

For the MVP, users should manually add or confirm their LinkedIn details. The app does not scrape LinkedIn or import details without the user’s permission.

LinkedIn, Instagram and other third-party platforms are separate services and are not controlled by us.

The app is built and hosted using Lovable and connected service providers. App data may be processed by Lovable, Supabase and other providers needed to run authentication, database, storage, hosting, QR codes, email, analytics and app functionality.

We are responsible for deciding how the app uses user data. Our service providers help us operate the app.

You must not use the app to:

• Break the law
• Upload harmful, offensive or unlawful content
• Impersonate another person
• Collect data without permission
• Attempt to access another user’s account
• Interfere with the security or operation of the app
• Upload viruses, malware or harmful code

We aim to keep the app available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

The app may depend on third-party providers, including hosting, database, authentication and storage services.

We may update, change, suspend or remove parts of the app at any time.

You can stop using the app at any time.

You may delete your account or request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal or operational retention requirements explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

The app is provided on an “as is” basis.

We are not responsible for how other users choose to use contact details that you decide to share. You should only share details you are comfortable making visible to the relevant room or connection.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
